Grandma’s House for #PP452

Good Morning! It’s Friday today. I hope your week has been fabulous! I have a fun Grandma card for you today using the whimsical stamp set called Grandma’s House.

Grandma's House, Brights 6 x 6 DSP, coloring with Blends, card from Grandma idea, PP452, Stampin Up, Karen Hallam, stampinup

It comes with two image stamps that are simply sweet and fun to color, plus all these great sentiments that are perfect for a grandma to give and/or receive. I love this one that says, “What happens at Grandma’s…stays at Grandma’s” Isn’t that the truth?!!

Sketch Challenge

I patterned my design after the sketch challenge from Paper Players #PP452. Here is the sketch that I worked from:

Get Your Blends Out!

Coloring these images is very easy using the bullet tip of the Blends Markers. The alcohol ink just glides on. There isn’t much room for blending, although I tried to blend the two Pineapple Punch colors on the house just a little.

I don’t think you can see it very well in the photo, but I took my Fine Tip Glue Pen and filled in the windows with a little glue that dried clear and looks like window glass!

The Granny Apple Green (in keeping with the Grandma theme, lol!) checked print and diamond print are from the Brights Collection of the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. Then on the inside I finished the two-part sentiment, added three hearts and one flower. The flower stamp has all three flower images on it, but it was simple to mask off two of them and stamp the one I wanted.

This stamp set is perfect for the grandma in your life, for a friend who is a new grandma, or for you to give if YOU are the grandma. I’m going to have a lot of fun with this one!
