Garden in Bloom CASE

I CASEd this card from the 2015-16 Annual Catalog!  There are some great projects for you to use right in the catalog.  It’s such a good resource, and one I often forget to use.  But this one just caught my eye, and I ran with it!  You’ll find this project sample on page 119, along with the stamp set, Garden in Bloom:

When you CASE a project, you can copy it exactly as it is, or you can make it yours by making a few simple changes.  I chose to do the second.  I love the way these blooms look when outlined in black with the second stamp.  So I outlined both the flower and the leaves, then I drew a skinny black line down the stem.
I used Mossy Meadow for the base, and I made it a 4 1/4″ square card.  I used Blushing Bride for the petals and Wild Wasabi for the leaves and stem.
This super sweet DSP comes in the English Garden collection.  The sentiment is from Another Thank you:

I tied a piece of Thick Baker’s Twine around the card.  This one happens to be Mossy Meadow, no longer available – but I would say, watch for it in the the Clearance Rack as you never know when it might pop up!  If you have Old Olive Baker’s Twine, that would look nice here, too, and it is in the current catalog.
Last but not least, the envelope…a friend of mine always stamps something on her envelope to match the card, and I think it is such a good idea!  Ties it all together.

And that is my card for today.  Cute, isn’t it?  Thanks, Stampin’ Up! for the inspiration!

Until next time ~  Happy stamping, everyone!
