I used Garden Impressions to create a “window” or “quilt square” card to share today ~
I wasn’t quite sure what to call this card. Is it a window? Maybe a quilt square? Or is it a puzzle? I took a 2-1/4″ square of Garden Impressions and cut it into four small squares. Then I “puzzled” them back together and glued them to a 2-1/2″ square of Night of Navy, leaving 1/8″ between each piece.
That piece was glued to a 2-3/4″ square of Mint Macaron. I started out placing it square on the card front, then I turned it on the diagonal and liked it a lot better. I adhered it to a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Shaded Spruce that was texturized with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Lastly I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it directly to a base card of Shaded Spruce.
The little tag is from the Wood Crate Framelit Dies. I stamped hello from Thoughtful Banners and added a double bow of Navy Baker’s Twine.
This was one of my Craft Kit To Go cards this month, with one difference. I used the Quilt Top Embossing Folder instead of Subtle and I liked that look a lot, too. If this entices you to try one of my Kits, I’m taking orders through Wednesday, Aug. 15. After that I will be taking orders for my September kit. You can read all about my Craft Kits To Go here.

Oh I love this too! This is one of my favorite paper packs and the colors are totally me. I will be CASEing this as my quilt embossing folder was only used once and it needs some love. I have never used the little tag on the crate die either. So, I had better get busy. I thought I had subscribed to your blog but I hit the subscribe button with my new address just in case.
Thanks, Chris! Glad you like the card. And I’m glad to know you’re back on my “subscribe” list. I always appreciate your comments ~ they are very encouraging!
🙂
Love this card, Karen. I think this paper can be busy but you did a great job singling out a part of the paper.
Thanks so much Deb! I know with some of these papers, a little goes a long way! I love it though 🙂
