I have a family member who loves birds. She has several birdhouses, bird feeders, and bird baths. For her birthday, I couldn’t think of a better stamp set than Garden Birdhouses for her card!
Simple Steps:
I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it with my Blends. Then I mounted the colored panel to a 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″ panel of some retired Stampin’ Up! designer paper, Forever Greenery. With the Fern Dies and some more of the DSP, I cropped out a branch and glued it to the top of the scene. It hung over a bit, so I cut off the overhang with my scissors.
There’s nothing complicated about this layout. I glued the green DSP to a base of Thick Basic White. I stamped the yellow bird separately, colored it, and cut it out. He is sitting on the perch by way of a Mini Dimensional! I do love how the middle birdhouse seems to be suspended from that tree branch while the other two are staked to the ground.
I stamped another branch to the inside along with a sweet sentiment. This card is ready to be signed and mailed!
Do you have a bird watcher in your family? Maybe you are that person! This fun stamp set is carrying over to the new catalog. Get one for yourself and kick back with some coloring (I’m no expert on coloring and I found it to be quite easy!) Enjoy!
