Fun Sketch

Here’s a fun sketch challenge today at Create With Connie and Mary.

I decided to go with Back On Your Feet and pair it with In The Wild Designer Series Paper. Both will be retiring in 4 days! The Last Chance list is here, if you’d like to get some before then. Here’s my card ~

I colored the whole giraffe with Light So Saffron, then highlighted him with Dark Daffodil Delight. His spots are SU500 from the Natural Tones Collection. I touched his ears with Petal Pink and the “ground” is Crumb Cake.

The sentiment from Back On Your Feet does not come in a line like this. I stamped it with Versamark on a strip of Evening Evergreen, heat embossed it with white Emboss Powder, then trimmed out the individual words. I then glued the words on a strip of Evening Evergreen. That’s my little “hack” when you want to changed the format of the stamp!

To finish it off, I put three Bumblebee In Color Squares around the giraffe and gave his eye a little enhancement with a Gel Pen. The Basic White panel is popped up on Dimensionals over the DSP. Last but not least I glued a piece of matching DSP to the back flap of the envelope and trimmed around the edges.
