Fun and Fast Friday Note Card

This card was fun, fast, and nearly free!

The purple background paper and the butterflies are both part of Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper, FREE with a purchase of $50 during Sale-A-Bration, now through March 2019.

Quick edit:  Since creating this card, the ribbon which was also a free SAB item, has already sold out! Here is the message from Stampin’ Up! ~

“The Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (item 149623) may be one of our most popular Sale-A-Bration items ever. It’s been so popular, in fact, that it has exceeded our product forecast and sold out in our North American markets. We have a shipment coming in to fulfill backorders, but because this item has been in such high demand, we have been forced to turn off the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack. Unfortunately, this initial shipment will help us fulfill only orders that have already been placed. Once backorders have been fulfilled, a second shipment will arrive at the beginning of March, which will allow us to turn on this item again; it will be available while supplies last only.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.”

I hope that you were able to get some! The good news is there are lots of other products still available and new items coming on February 15th.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment then punched the small butterfly out of the DSP with the Butterfly Duet Punch.

These butterflies are simply gorgeous. And all I had to do is trim them out of the designer series paper! They were easy to cut out and the paper has many different butterflies to choose from, all different colors, styles, and sizes. Like in nature!

For the envelope, I stamped one pair of butterflies with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Blends. Tip: When coloring an envelope with Blends, be sure to slide a sheet of paper inside the envelope to protect the natural ink seepage from going through to the back of the envelope.

That is three days of Butterfly Gala Note Cards, all three very different. If you missed the previous posts, you can see them here and here. I hope you’ve enjoyed them!

Have a wonderful weekend! Try to stay warm, my friends!
