Frightfully Fun Halloween Card (CSF 938)

With this color combination at Create with Stamping Friends, I just had to go with Halloween ~ what else?! Frightfully Fun DSP made it an easy choice, and I tried a technique that I saw Brian King do. There are two identical sheets of DSP in the pack with only one difference – the color. One has a charcoal gray background and the other has a Pumpkin Pie background. Before I explain, let’s look at the color challenge:

See the two sheets with larger ghosts? I took those two sheets, put them together, and cut them to piece together as if they were only one sheet.

Here’s my card:

See how the pattern in the two blend into each other? Very clever!

Measurements:

• Basic Black Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
• Frightfully Fun DSP~
  • Ghosts with gray background, (2) 13/16″ [that is 3 notches back from 2″] x 5-1/4″
  • Ghosts with Pumpkin Pie background, 2-3/8″x 5-1/4″

 

The letters for “BOO!” come from Mini Alphabet Dies, cut from Basic Black Cardstock. Those cute little embellishments are from Adhesive-backed Bats, Ghosts, and Dots.
