It’s Thursday again and time for another sketch challenge for Create With Connie and Mary. I love today’s sketch! I’ve already used it for a few different cards. The split front panel is fun to use with one sheet of DSP or mix it up with three different patterns like I did on Monday’s card. Today I went with one piece of DSP and used Flowering Fields for CCMC699.
Here’s the sketch that we based our designs on ~
My Card Details:
- Garden Green Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
- Flowering Fields DSP, 5″x 4″, cut into three panels at 2-5/8″, 1″, and 1-3/8″
- Basic White Cardstock for the label from Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Highland Heather Cardstock for the strip across the bottom of the label, 4-3/8″x 1/2″, cropped from the Peony Dies
- White Baker’s Twine, colored purple with Dark Highland Heather Blends marker
- Sentiment from Simply Succulents, stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink
- 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels, colored with Dark Highland Heather Blends marker
Tip:
Lay your Baker’s Twine out on a paper towel and run the brush tip side of your Blends marker over it several times, turning the twine as you go. Let it sit for a few minutes to dry. You can make any color of twine this way, only limited by the colors of Blends you have on hand! Ditto for the rhinestones!
On the inside, another 1″ strip of the DSP will brighten up the Basic White Cardstock, while leaving lots of room to write.
Have you been to Tulip Town in Washington State? If you Google it you will see a photo of a field that looks much like this paper! It is gorgeous!
Now go see what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this sketch over on Create with Connie and Mary!
Have an extraordinary day!
