Floral Impressions (for CSF 881)

We’re starting August off with a sketch challenge! This fun sketch lets us show off both sides of our beautiful DSP. I’ve chosen Floral Impressions for my card.

Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card:

impressions abloom bundle, beautiful butterflies stamp set, floral impressions dsp, beautiful bokeh dsp, csf 881, stampin up, karen hallam

Recipe:
  • Blackberry Bliss Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
  • Floral Impressions DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Beautiful Bokeh DSP, 3″x 4″
  • Basic White for stamping, 3-1/2″x 2″
    • Flower ~ Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Blackberry Bliss ~ Impressions Abloom Bundle
    • Sentiment ~ Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set, Blackberry Bliss ink, Mixed Labels Dies
  • Garden Green Cardstock for leaves, 4″x 2″, Pretty Florals Dies

I put Dimensionals over the leaves to hold them down where they meet in the middle and then placed the flower down over the Dimensionals.

  • One small Rhinestone Basic Jewel gives the flower a “dew drop!”

Floral Impressions wasn’t my first card to make for this challenge. But when I made my first card, Winter Meadow DSP was still available! It has since sold out, so I remade the card. I thought perhaps you would like to see my first one anyway, so here it is:

simply said, mixed labels dies, winter meadow dsp, thoughtful garden dies, birthday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

I loved that paper, didn’t you? But as they say, “Out with the old, in with the new!”
