Filled With Sweetness (for CSF 914)

We start April with a color challenge! Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Granny Apple Green. I found these three colors in the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper, and decided to build a jar of peach jam for my card. So, yes, peaches aren’t exactly coral colored, although close – if very ripe and a freestone variety. Well, some imagination helps, too!

Here’s our color board:

And here’s my card:

Recipe:
  • Calypso Coral Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Lovely & Beautiful DSP, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″
  • Beautiful Bokeh DSP in Calypso Coral for jam jar, 4″ wide x 4-1/2″ tall
    • Jar image from Filled With Sweetness Stamp Set stamped with Smoky Slate, cropped with matching die
  • Granny Apple Green Cardstock for “fabric topper”, 4-1/2″x 1-1/2″, cropped with Filled With Sweetness Dies
  • Basic Black Cardstock for tie, Filled With Sweetness Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock, 2-1/2″x 2″, label cropped with Dies, stamped with Memento Black ink
  • Peach slice fussy cut from Homemade Sweetness DSP
  • One Garden Epoxy Dot in Crushed Curry
Techniques:
  • I rounded the label slightly with my bone folder and attached it with Dimensionals just in the center to give the label a rounded effect.
  • The jar is adhered with Foam Adhesive Sheet bits and the green topper with Dimensionals.

Oh how fun! This is the first peach jam I have seen and I love it! Looks pretty close to me! I had to smile as I was cleaning a shelf off in the pantry a few weeks ago. There was a couple jars of peach and apricot jam with expiration dates of 2019 in there in the back. Mike loves to buy jelly and jams but then rarely eats them. These had not been open. He was going to try a BBQ sauce that he never made. He couldn’t decide which would taste the best since the recipe called for either flavor. What a sweet memory for me!
