Card #2 in my Sketch Week is a cool, frosty Christmas card made with Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.
Did you shiver a little bit? I love all of the prints in Feels Like Frost 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper. They are all the beauty of the Christmas season with snow, frost, and sparkle in nature!
Here’s another look at the card sketch I’m using this week. I’m trying to create different ways to interpret a sketch. On Monday I made a Fall card. See it here.
Instead of three rows of words on this card, I simply heat embossed Merry Christmas, white on black, then added two rows of silver snowflakes.
Materials & Measurements:
- Cardstock: Seaside Spray, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″; Basic Black, 5-1/4″x 4″ for layer, and 3″x 5/8″ for sentiment strip
- Specialty Paper: Silver Foil Sheets, 5-1/4″x 1/2″ (2 pieces), and scraps for snowflakes; Feels Like Frost 6″x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, 5-1/4″x 2″
- Stamp Set: Cherish the Season
- Embellishments: Snowfall Thinlit Dies (retired)
If you’re interested in making a card similar to this, all of the products I used are listed below with links to my online Stampin’ Up! store. Just click on the picture and you will be redirected to that product in the store. So easy! When you place an order, it would help me tremendously if you would use my Host Code. My current code is RZAECNRA. Thank you so much!
I will see you back here on Friday for one more interpretation of this sketch. If you try one for yourself, I would love to see what you make! Send me a picture to karenshallam@gmail.com. I would be happy to show it on my blog with credit to you! Now go play with it and make something beautiful!

Dramatic with the black. Really cool, sorry I couldn’t help myself. Love those icy snowflakes. Great card.
