Dainty Delight (for CCMC 792)

We had a challenging color combination this week! I tried several things before settling on Dainty Delight and coloring tiny bits of color into the petals and leaves. These are three very strong colors and I was put to the test!!!

Here’s my card:

dainty delight stamp set, scalloped contours dies, ccmc792, thank you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

I feel like I “made it work” once I got past the need to add DSP. So, simple and sweet this week! Here’s what I did:

  • Pretty Peacock card base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White, 4-1/2″x 3-1/2″, cropped with a Scalloped Contours Die
  • Dainty Delight stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Blends, using our three colors
  • Sentiment from Dainty Delight Stamp Set, stamped in black on Basic White and hand cut
    • Adhered with Dimensionals
  • Three Blooming Pearls in the aqua tones

It was so simple, I almost feel like I cheated! But simple can be just as effective! Click HERE to see what the rest of the Design Team made with this color combination.

  1. You did a really good job on a difficult color combo. I love it.

  2. Love this card! I didn’t think I would care for this color combination, but love your card! So pretty!!

  3. This is lovely. I see so many cards that make me say “that is so much stuff it is distracting”.
