Creating ~ Coast to Coast!

We’re bringing back one of our favorites! Rosanne Mulhern and I have decided to resume our monthly Coast to Coast posts! This month I’m taking the lead, so you’ll be traveling from:

I’m excited to bring this back! If you are new(ish) to my blog, Rosanne and I collaborate once a month and take turns deciding on a theme, color scheme, layout, or technique to challenge each other. We will post our own project, then link you to the other. I live in California and Rosanne lives in Pennsylvania, thus the name: Creating Coast to Coast! aka “CC2C”!

For this month, we will be creating Christmas in July for you – a fun mid-year theme.

Here’s my card:

I’m remembering fun times when our kids were young and we took them up to the mountains in Oregon to cut our Christmas tree. We didn’t have a fun red tractor but we did use sleds and wagons and there was always lots of snow!

My Card Recipe:
  • Lost Lagoon Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Nests of Winter DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 1″, embossed with Snowfall 3D Embossing Folder (retired)
  • Tractor & Co Bundle:
    • Real Red, Basic Black, Silver Foil, and Basic White Cardstock
    • Real Red, Shaded Spruce, and Memento Tuxedo Black ink pads
  • Sentiment from (retired) Filled With Cheer, stamped with Memento onto Basic White Cardstock and cropped with a Perennial Postage Die
    • 1/2″ wide Real Red Cardstock “ribbon” glued behind the sentiment label
  • Trees, Shaded Spruce Cardstock, cropped with Tractor & Co Dies
  • Flags stamped with Shaded Spruce and Black marker, cropped with matching dies from Tractor & Co Bundle
  • Iridescent Pearl Embellishments

I adore this tractor set! See another card I made for Fall harvest by clicking HERE.

Fun little bit of history:

Rosanne and I were both team members under Susan Itell and happened to meet at a Stampin’ Up! Convention in Atlanta, GA in 2016! I’m so happy to say that 9 years later, our friendship continues. And all because of our love of stamping and Stampin’ Up! Here’s a (blurry) picture of us that I found. We look so young! We had so much fun!

Now it’s Rosanne’s turn to share her Christmas in July card! Click HERE to be transported to Pennsylvania instantly!

Thanks for “traveling” with us today! I appreciate your support and always look forward to your comments.

See you again soon,

It’s so good to be back “coasting” again with you! I love the family memory that inspired your card. Also, the photo from Atlanta was fun to see…oh to be that young again! LOL!

    • I know! Mere babes! That trip was the first time I met you, Jeanie, Susan – everyone from the east coast, actually! Fun memories!!!
