Welcome back to Camp Create 2021! It’s Day 4 of camp, and there is a fun challenge today. It’s all about backgrounds. I very recently made a card using die cuts for my background and I’m going to share that again today, as it fits perfectly with this challenge.
When I posted this card last, it was a sneak peek. I’m excited to say that the new Mini Catalog is now live! This is no longer a sneak peek, but one you can now order for yourself!
Stampin’ Up! Supplies Needed to Make This Card
- Crumb Cake Cardstock for the base
- Very Vanilla Cardstock for the layer
- Timber 3D Embossing Folder
- Time of Giving Bundle
- Scraps of autumn-colored card stock, such as Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Cherry Cobbler, and Garden Green
- Meadow Dies for label
- Soft Suede Ink Pad
- Linen thread
After cutting out all of the leaves, I arranged them on the Vanilla layer and covered them with Glad Press & Seal. That way I could remove the leaves intact, glue the backs, and replace them onto the card in the exact same pattern. It’s a neat crafting trick!

I can’t wait to see what our challenge will be tomorrow! See you then!

Very nice, Karen. When I first looked at the card I thought maybe you had die cut the background piece and then cut the leaves and inserted them in the cut out places. I like the way yours turned out!
Thanks! That would be a nice look, but a lot of work! This was much easier 🙂
