Bloom Where You’re Planted

I have two very simple cards to share with you today. Both cards show off the new designer paper called Bloom Where You’re Planted. I love it when the DSP is in the “driver’s seat” on a card because it becomes a quick assembly and yet such a pretty card! Here’s a picture of the pack.

The first card uses this gorgeous sheet of paper that you can cut in half and make six cards with it.

I backed it with a skinny layer of Garden Green. Next I wrapped a Baker’s Twine bow and mounted it onto Thick Basic White. Then I stamped the “Thank You” from the coordinating Plentiful Plants Stamp Set. I used Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder. To finish it off, I glued three gold sequins…and this card is done!

For my second card, I used another sheet that looks like you’re in the middle of the jungle! This paper holds several of our green shades. It’s beautiful layered on Evening Evergreen!

When your friend has knee surgery, you pull out Back on Your Feet Again! I think this sloth looks right at home amongst this “jungle” of greenery!

Clean & Simple

Although this card is still clean & simple, it took slightly longer than the first, only because I needed to color the sloth. However, with Stampin’ Blends even that went quickly. I used Evening Evergreen, Just Jade, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Ivory, and Basic Black. I highlighted around the image with Light Mint Macaron.

Next Wednesday, May 26, we will have our CASEing Coast to Coast post and just a little teaser…I’m using this paper in my card. But in a very different way. Check back next Wednesday to see!

I hope your week is going well! See you soon,
