Get a bird’s eye view of the little owl in Bird’s Eye View! It has so much personality! This stamp set is carrying over into the new Annual Catalog, so we have another year to create with this cutie!
I have a teacher in the family who is having a birthday this month. This little owl sitting on books with its reading glasses seems perfect for her birthday.
Here’s What I Used:
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock for the base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″ folded at 4-1/4″
- Winter Meadow DSP, approx. 5-1/4″x 4″, cropped with the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies
- Basic White, approx 3-1/2″x 2-1/8″ Deckled Rectangle Die, and 2-3/4″x 3/8″ for sentiment
Coloring With Blends:
- Stamp images first with Memento Tuxedo Black.
- Owl ~ Ivory, Pecan Pie, Wild Wheat (beak), and Flirty Flamingo (cheeks)
- Books ~ Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, and Shaded Spruce
Additional Details:
I used Shaded Spruce for its eyeglasses and the sentiment.
The birthday sentiment and Baker’s Twine are from my retired stash.
I used the Happy Little Things Dies to cut out the sentiment strip.
Dimensionals behind the Basic White rectangle and the sentiment strip give the little lift they needed.
This little owl makes me smile every time! I’m glad we’ll have another year to play with Bird’s Eye View.

Perfect card for people I know who enjoy reading! Love your choice of colors!
The eyes have it. A fun card! I am glad it carried over as I did not use it as much as I thought I would. My eye doctor thought it was too much fun.
Love your owl card!
Thanks, Rachel!
