Back To School for CC2C!

It probably seems late for a Back To School card, but maybe not for all. My grandson’s high school didn’t start until today! I guess I consider all of September to qualify for Back To School, so I chose that theme for our CASEing Coast to Coast this month. Rosanne from Pennsylvania and I, from California, take turns once a month choosing a theme, stamp set, sketch, or color combo to make and CASE (copy and selectively edit), hoping to inspire you. AND, I don’t know if you are aware of this, but both of us spent our career years working in schools, so this theme hits close to our hearts ❤️. Here is my Back To School for CC2C ~

Details ~
  • Cut three pieces for the basket – one for the vertical boards, one for the horizontal boards, and one for the backing.
  • Lightly color the edges of the basket with a Light Soft Suede Blends Marker to “weather” the basket.
  • Color the basket handle with a Real Red Blends Marker.
  • Stamp the schools supplies from Cheerful Basket with Memento Tuxedo Black and color with Blends, markers, or pencils. I added a touch of Fine-Tip Glue Pen to the scissors and pen tops for extra shine. Crop the colored piece with the coordinating die from Full Basket Dies.
  • Stamp “BACK” from Garden Birdhouses with Memento ink to the lower right of the brick panel.
  • Glue the basket and school supplies piece to the brick panel.
  • Glue the white brick panel to the plaid DSP and then glue the whole thing to the red base.
  • Add the apples with Mini Dimensionals. Stamp and fussy cut “Welcome” from Garden Birdhouses in Memento ink and adhere it with glue and Dimensionals.
  • Stamp and outline color the flap of your envelope using the apple stamp.
