My Favorite Mini Catalog Stamp Set

This is by far my favorite Mini Catalog stamp set! It was my first order from this catalog (altho not my last!) and I still love it more than any other. It’s Soft Seedlings and you can find it on page 53 of the July/December 2022 Mini Catalog. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles, no Suite of Products attached. Just a single, beautiful Autumn stamp set. I’m using it in our color challenge for Create With Connie & Mary this week.

SOFT SEEDLINGS CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH)

How did I do it?ย
  • Stamp the whole image with Sahara Sand ink onto a 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock.
  • With a Sponge Dauber, ink the stems and bits of the leaf and seeds with Soft Succulent. Then do the same with Blackberry Bliss, concentrating on the outer edges of the leaf and seeds. Let it dry.
  • With Wink of Stella, paint the entire leaf and each of the seedlings. The Blackberry Bliss will run a little, but the result is beautiful. The Wink of Stella wakes up the colors and makes them so vibrant!
  • Lightly trace over the stems with a Soft Succulent Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • For the sentiment, stamp “Thinking of You” (a great stamp for the front because you can add anything on the inside to specify the occasion!) with Blackberry Bliss in your Stamparatus. Important: Let it dry before continuing! I walked away and did other chores. That BB ink takes longer to dry and it smears if you rush it! Oh, what? You found that out the hard way? Me too! ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Re-stamp the sentiment (still in your Stamparatus) with Versamark Ink and heat emboss it with Clear Emboss Powder.
Frame it!

After all, it is a masterpiece! It deserves a frame! I cut three Sahara Sand and one Blackberry Bliss frames using the Fabulous Frames Dies and glued them together, stacking them one on top of the other (the BB one on the bottom). This gives your frame a bit of Dimension that is un-crushable.

Line up your frame over your masterpiece and glue everything to a Blackberry Bliss card base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″.

Embellish it!

Add more shine with Elegant Faceted Gems. So pretty!

Today happens to be my son’s 42nd birthday. This may be his birthday card! It isn’t the usual ~ tools, camping, mountains, antique cars kind of guy card, but somehow I think he’d appreciate it! Lol!

Karen I absolutely love this card, actually masterpiece! Not sure how you can get the inks on the specific spot on the images with the sponge dauber. Or are you using the stamparatus to attain that technique?
