Here is a rare Saturday post from me to you. I couldn’t wait…
It was so exciting to see that this week’s challenge on Festive Friday included rainbows! I had started this card Thursday night, not knowing exactly what I was going to do with it. I only knew I wanted to create a rainbow with this die from Lily Pad Dies (Sale-A-Bration 2020, 1st Release.) Then on Friday morning I saw the challenge for Festive Friday #55 and I knew exactly what to do!
Here is the banner that inspired my design:
And…it was picked as a favorite!
I picked rainbow, sequins, and hearts for my card.
My rainbow, top to bottom, consists of Stampin’ Up! colors Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape, and Blackberry Bliss.
I stamped the little girl from My Favorite Things with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with my Stampin’ Blends Markers. Her shirt and matching pocket are pieced in with Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. I cut the sentiment strip with a Stitched Rectangle Die.
I do hope she brightens someone’s day! I’m pretty sure she will! Thanks Festive Friday, for the challenge and for letting me play along! You can enter, too! Just click here to go to their website. You’ll see lots of inspirational work and at the bottom you can enter a picture of your card.
Enjoy your weekend!

Such a bright and cheerful card, Karen! I just love that paper pieced detail, too. Thanks so much for joining us over at Festive Friday!
Gorgeous card!! Thank you for playing!
Adorable, Karen! I LOVE the rainbow die cuts. The paper pieced shirt is too cute. Thank you for sharing at Festive Friday.
Talk about smiles, this does it!!! This is totally a me card. I need to just order her. I have been wanting one but always talk myself out of it. I do flowers for senior citizens but this will be more fun to use. I do a lot of thinking of you type cards. Love that you pieced her outfit. Perfection. The Lily pad dies did a great design but I will just have to figure out something. Thanks Karen for making my day!
Sweet!
LOVE it! I love that MFT girl too. I have her. Great job on your challenge.
Oh Karen, this card is so colorful and very festive. I love it.
Have a blessed day.
