A Mother’s Flair for TTTC#045

A Mother’s Flair is an ideal stamp set for a Mother’s Day card. It has four great sentiments with four retro images that are super cute! This set will be retiring as of May 31, 2018, but you can still buy it in time for Mother’s Day.

 

I am entering this card into the TicTacToe Challenge this week ~

~using the top horizontal row with Floral/Metallic/Die-Cut.

To make this card I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of (retiring) Marina Mist card stock. I scored it at 5-1/2″ for a top fold.

With a thinlit die from the Flourish set, I cut the side piece with Silver Foil, backed with a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. After running it through the Big Shot, all I had to do was peel off the paper backing from the adhesive and stick it directly to the card front, far left.

Next, I glued a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper, partially covering the flourish.

Using the 2nd largest circle framelit from Stitched Shapes, I cut, stamped, and adhered the Whisper White circle to a silver Metallic Doily (also retiring). Then I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Rhinestones for that extra bling.

I covered the envelope flap with some old Marina Mist background DSP, trying to use up some of my old papers. Do you have a stockpile of retired DSP? I kind of doubt I am the only one!!!

For the inside, I stamped Happy Mother’s Day in Marina Mist and that cute handbag in Pear Pizzazz.
