You Inspire Me (for CSF 859)

This week we have a sketch challenge at Create With Stamping Friends! I love a good sketch ~ one that you can interpret different ways. I took this sketch and “saw” the embroidery hoop being the center point with “You Inspire Me” as my sentiment.

Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card:

Remember when embroidery hoops were the crafting rage? Now I’m dating myself, but I used to machine embroider pictures and frame them with embroidery hoops. I sold them at craft fairs with a friend. Chickens were a hit! Wow, that was a “minute” ago! Back to the card…

Materials & Measurements:

  • DSP ~Floral Delight, 5-1/4″x 4″, and 4-1/4″x 3″
  • Stamps & Dies ~ Crafting With You, Memorable Blooms, Delightful Wishes

Love your take on this, embroidery hoops are in my history also! Love that we have that little thingie that looks like the clamp!

You had me at mossy meadow and daffodil delight! Two of my favorites. Then you featured the embroidery hoop. Be still my heart as I have always been an avid needle worker all my life, well since I could actually hold a needle and stitch! I looked at the sketch and thought crewel work with wools immediately. So we were on the same wave length. The resulting card is just delightful which is perfect for the title of the DSP but I love it!
