Wonderland Twilight Scene

Can you tell how much I love this stamp set?  This is my third post in a row using it.  Definitely my current favorite.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Linda Heller’s site.  I hadn’t done much sponging before and she had some very good tips for creating this sky.

First I stamped the trees from Wonderland 3 times full strength with Basic Black Archival ink. Then I filled in the gaps with the “stamped off” ink to create some dimension.

This was all on a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White.  I tore the bottom 3/4″ off the bottom before I started stamping.

I sponged the whole piece with Soft Sky, then I did around the edges and in toward the middle with Marina Mist.  I sponged Night of Navy around the edges, and finished with just a touch of Rich Razzleberry.

After the ink dried, I glued the stamped piece to a base of Heavy Whisper White and stamped the greeting along the bottom right edge using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I glittered the trees with Dazzling Diamonds over touches of the 2-Way Glue Pen.  It is quite sparkly in person, but the glitter never photographs well.

On the inside I stamped the greeting with Tuxedo Black, then stamped over it with the sprig stamp from the set in Encore Silver ink (purchased at the craft store).

I want to remind you that tomorrow is the day that the Online Extravaganza Sale begins.
I hope you’ll be able to take advantage of these great prices and get some things that you’ve been wanting!
I will be back tomorrow with more details on the Extravaganza — and the Flash Sale which will only be tomorrow, Monday, November 23.
Thanks for stopping by!
