Stampin’ Up! held an annual online event over the weekend called “Creativity Now” for all Demonstrators. We were able to watch some Presenters make cards with a new bundle coming soon called Winterly Tree Tops. Since we were able to pre-order this bundle, we could make the cards right along with them. It was a 4-hour packed-full-of-fun event! I thought I’d show you 3 of the 4 projects we made with those Demonstrators!
This first one might be my favorite! It has a Blackberry Bliss card base, Crumb Cake layer, and the birds and branches colored with Blends.
This one uses the “frame” die with branches. The Demo had us cut it from Basic Gray and adhere it over a Misty Moonlight base with Dimensionals. The bird and branches are colored with Watercolor Pencils, giving it a soft, layered look. Love it!
This third one incorporated a fun new technique. We used the negative from the “frame” die in card #2 as a stencil and used Blending Brushes to apply the color. The original card had the birds stamped onto colored cardstock and colored with pencils. Now, (as I often do), I changed this one up a bit by stamping the birds & branches onto Basic White and coloring them with Blends. Even now I can think of different ways to color these sweet little birds that would be so cute. I’ll have to play with it a bit more! I like this card a lot and really love the frame technique!
