Wine Tags

Good Monday Morning!  I hope you have all had
a wonderful weekend!
My daughter asked me for a tag to go with a bottle of wine that she was giving as a gift to her friends.  I got this idea from Mary Fish who designed a similar gold tag a while back.  I made this silver tag with this particular bottle in mind — isn’t it pretty?

I cut a piece of Silver Foil paper 6″ x 2″ and punched one end with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.  I lined up the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch in the center.  I lightly scored it 4″ up from the bottom.  Then I cut another piece of Silver Foil 3 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and ran it through the Big Shot with the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and glued it to the tag.

“Thanks” is from Another Thank You, stamped with Cherry Cobbler, and punched out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.  The leaves are from last year’s framelits and I used Cherry Cobbler and Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  The cherry button is from the Regals Collection.  I wrapped a few loops of silver thread behind it and attached it with Glue Dots.
The shiny foil looks so good with the wine bottle top.  But it would be fun to make these in different colors and papers to compliment the bottle that it sits on.  I also made one that says Happy Birthday and another that says Congrats!
