Wildflower Birthday (for CSF 883)

I haven’t made a slimline card for a very “long” time! But that’s our challenge this week at Create with Stamping Friends, so I “stretched” myself – OK enough with the puns – and made a fun birthday card using Wildflower Birthday products.

Here’s our challenge:

The punch outs made it fun and easy to create this card!

Here’s my Recipe:
  • Pretty in Pink Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 7″, folded at 3-1/2″
  • Wildflower Birthday DSP in stripes, 8-3/8″x 3-3/8″
  • Punchouts (from top down: balloon bouquet, pink layered cake on a stand, and a slice of cake with a candle
  • Pink & white gingham print DSP for sentiment, 2-1/2″x 1/2″

For the sentiment, Happy Birthday, I used The Right Words Stamp Set and heat embossed it with Versamark ink, gold embossing powder, and a Heat Tool.

The layered cake and cake slice are adhered with Dimensionals.

I used five gold Low Profile Dots for embellishment.

Oh! and I added a small flower punch out to put on top of the layer cake because I thought it needed a topper. Everything goes together so well. If you haven’t yet purchased Wildflower Birthday DSP, I would say go for it! It’s fun to mix and match all of the elements.

Very punny! Great card. That paper was fun to use and especially the punch out to add a little punch of color to circle sentiments etc. of course the touches of gold is the icing on the cake. Oops, Bernie is awake and ready to go.
