Wicked Folds for October Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects feature cards made using “wicked” folds. What is a “wicked” fold? It is anything other than the standard A2 card fold. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
When I saw the term “wicked” folds, I immediately thought – oh, Halloween!  But once I made one of these Pinwheel Fold cards for Halloween, I couldn’t stop!  So I made one for Thanksgiving and two for Christmas!  Once you make one, you will get addicted too!  They are so much fun!
The Pinwheel card stays together on its own, but the belly band adds design and interest.
I used Halloween Night DSP, Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper, Layering Circles Framelits and the Spooky Fun/Halloween Scenes Edgelits Bundle on this card.
Slide the band off, pull the strips from the middle, and see what’s inside!
Suite Seasons is the featured stamp set on all of these cards.  You can add a small gift inside as well, since the package stays closed until you pull it open.  A gift card, a note, even a thin candy can fit inside.  The finished size for these pinwheel cards is 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″.  Sign up for my free monthly newsletter, “Karen’s Stampin’ News!” for measurements and instructions on how to make this fun card.  Simply click on “Contact Me” at the top of my blog and indicate on the questionnaire that you would like to receive my newsletter.
Here is my Thanksgiving version:
I used Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP along with Suite Seasons Stamp Set on this one.
Now for Christmas:
This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, Christmas Greetings Thinlits, and again, Suite Seasons make up this card.
One more:
I used Presents & Pinecones DSP (one of the papers that is on sale this month!) along with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Layering Circles Framelits and a Copper Pinecone embellishment.
And here is the whole collection:
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

I hope you enjoyed this month’s hop!  See you next time!
