The Paper Players have a sketch challenge this week. I pulled out my Whimsy & Wonder DSP and paired it with Time of Giving stamps and Christmas Trimmings Dies. The end result is this Whimsy & Wonder-ful star card!
Here is the sketch challenge that inspired me:
I started by cutting three panels of Silver Foil Paper at 1-3/8″x 3-7/8″. Then I cut and glued three panels of DSP to layer on top of the Foil. I cut them so the pattern in the paper created a consecutive print. Those I glued to the Misty Moonlight card base.
My flagged banner measures 4-1/2″x 3/4″. I heat embossed the sentiment from Time of Giving stamps using silver embossing powder.
The Polished Pink and Silver Foil star is from Christmas Trimmings Dies. I backed the Silver Foil with an Adhesive Sheet before cropping it out. I wasn’t sure how well that would work, but it worked beautifully! To make it look like an ornament, I punched a tiny hole at the top of the star and threaded some silver cord through it. I adhered the cord on the back with some Tear & Tape. Then I added a silver cord bow with a Mini Glue Dot.
Another piece of Whimsy & Wonder is perfect to decorate the envelope flap. Plus the foil shine is spectacular!
