Really! We all go through dry spells when we just cannot come up with a new idea…please tell me I’m not alone in this! But that is OK and why some genius crafter came up with CASEing!
CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything, and it’s what I love about this stamping community. Everyone is willing to share their ideas and let others copy them. When I’m too tired or busy to be creative, but want to make something beautiful, I am grateful that someone else’s ideas are just a click on the keyboard away!
Often, by copying someone else’s creation, it serves as a springboard for me to come up with new ideas. And those ideas are shared and copied and the cycle continues…
I’ve got some cards to show you that I have CASEd recently. (Hopefully I will get the original crafter’s names correct!)
This card was fun for me as it was mostly stamping and minimal die cutting. It uses the Cool Treats photopolymer stamps and lots of fun colors ~ Watermelon Wonder/Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay/Pool Party, Calypso Coral/Peekaboo Peach, Crumb Cake/Early Espresso.
The birthday greeting from the same set is stamped inside an oval cropped with a Stitched Shapes Framelit. These framelits were unavailable for some time, but they are back now and available for purchase! Click here to see them at my online store.
This cute Valentine was an Amy K creation. It uses the Sealed With Love Stamp Set and Framelit Bundle (Occasions Catalog), and the Jar of Love Bundle (Annual Catalog.)
The jar is a window feature that houses several stamped and punched hearts!
I swapped out Amy’s gold paper for Pink Pirouette and included some of the pink inside the jar as well.
Inside ~ Real Red and Pink Pirouette hearts from the set.
The last one is a hot air balloon for a birthday card. It’s made with the Lift Me Up Bundle from the Occasions Catalog. I loved the way Jaimie used white embossing powder for the clouds. I used Island Indigo rather than Peekaboo Peach for the base card, and I found a bit of Pool Party glitter ribbon (retired). Watermelon Wonder is the color behind the Whisper White balloon. It is popped up on Dimensionals to look like it’s floating among the clouds.
So CASE away, share the love, and by all means send some happy mail to someone today!
