Waves of the Ocean for CCMC711

This week it’s a sketch challenge at Create With Connie & Mary. I picked Waves of the Ocean for CCMC711 because it’s fairly new and I’ve only posted one other card with it. You can see it here. Here’s our sketch…

…and here’s my card~

I used Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper for the three rectangles, and the coordinating foils for the waves. Can’t you just see the foam pouring into the beach after the wave breaks? I love the ocean. Having lived in Hawaii for my high school years, the ocean and beach remain one of my peaceful places.

My sentiment came from a different ocean-y stamp set, Whale Done. I’m glad to see it is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog! The last bit of shiny detail comes from three Artistry Blooms Sequins (soon to retire.) Unfortunately, since making this card, I’ve heard that the foils have sold out. Hopefully you bought some sheets earlier. A duo of our silver foils would also look amazing!

Thanks for checking out my card today! Be sure to visit Create With Connie & Mary to see the other cards from our talented group of crafters!
