I recently participated in a card swap with some of my team members. I’m very pleased at how these cards turned out. I did them in three different colors, and I can’t decide which is my favorite…although I am partial to the green one ~
To make my cards, I started with Thick Whisper White. It is really my choice for base cards when I want to do white. The thick cardstock is much more substantial than the regular white cardstock.
I layered Garden Green – or- Pumpkin Pie – or – Tangerine Tango, embossed with the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder. Next I glued down a scalloped oval, again with thick Whisper White, after heat embossing the sentiment at the bottom with Gold Embossing Powder. It came from the You’re So Sweet stamp set.
Next I added a strip of Designer Series Paper (Tutti-Frutti DSP) that I cropped with Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies to the left and right of the butterfly. The butterfly was stamped on Whisper White and cropped out with the Bold Butterfly Framelit Die. This green one has Lemon Lime Twist, Wild Wasabi, and Garden Green inks on it. The Stamparatus made the three-step stamping so easy! The body is in Soft Suede. The glitter is Wink of Stella shimmer pen. And I wrapped some Gold Thread around my fingers and attached the loops to the back of the butterfly with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The next one was stamped with So Saffron, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie stamp pads.
And the third one has Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, and Tangerine Tango with a bit of Calypso Coral over the Tangerine.
They were super fun to make. I hope the recipients enjoy them! When I get my swaps from the other team members I will share them with you. This one is with friends on the opposite side of the country from me, so the cards are going in the mail and I will be receiving a package back. It was so nice to be included when I wasn’t able to make it to the On Stage Convention!
