Today I’m entering my card into the Festive Friday Challenge. Its theme this week is Brother’s Day and our options are all very masculine-oriented. I picked silver, black, and red for my masculine birthday card and used Wanted To Say Dies for the birthday sentiment. I just wanted to say, “Happy Birthday!”
Here’s the challenge:
And here’s my card:
All the Details:
- Basic Black Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
- Silver Foil Sheet, 5-1/4″x 4″ (center cut out to be frugal!)
- Zoo Crew DSP (retired) for the black layer, 5″x 3-3/4″
- Read Red Cardstock, 3-3/4″x 2″
- Zoo Crew DSP (retired) for the white dotted strip, 3-3/4″x 1-3/4″
- Silver Foil Sheet and Basic Black Cardstock for “Happy Birthday”, using Wanted To Say Dies
- Real Red and Silver Foil for stars, Wanted To Say Dies
- Gray Pearls, Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls
Wanted To Say Dies can be found on page 85 of the new Annual Catalog. Silver Foil is on page 110. I’m going to try to be diligent to name the pages for the products I use. This catalog is set up so differently that it can be like going on a scavenger hunt if you aren’t aware of where things are located. The index is also very helpful. If you are interested in buying something you see me feature, everything will be listed below in the Product List. Click on any item and it will take you to my online store.

Love your card. I think the Black white and red is amazing for a masculine card. Thanks for playing along in the Festive Friday Challenge
Thanks, Diane!
Look at this fun card! If this doesn’t scream celebrate and let’s party, not sure what does. I can see this for all ages from a chuckling senior citizen to a little kid shrieking with delight when opening this. Change the words to just celebrate and you could use it for graduation or an anniversary. Just a really great card!
Thanks, Chris!
