Use Your Leftovers! for #FF0026

I’ve been making a lot of cards with the Meant To Be stamp set and Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies. While making them, I was left with parts and pieces that I didn’t need for those cards. Throw them away? Never! Use them to your advantage and make something unexpected!

Then along comes a challenge. The Festive Friday theme this week is Valentine’s Day and/or Red! This fits the bill – both bills! Go to Festive Friday #FF0026 to enter and play along!

And I was chosen as a favorite! Thank you!

  1. What a cute card, Karen! No one would guess you were using up leftovers! Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday!

  2. Beautiful, Karen! What a wonderful way to use leftovers. I love the small hearts with the rhinestones. They add the perfect touch of bling. Thank you for sharing at Festive Friday!

  3. Adhesive sheet to the rescue for those little bits. I will plan ahead when I use that die. Thanks

    • Yes, that would be very wise! Another easy way, in case you didn’t plan ahead, is to daub liquid glue onto the pieces with a sponge dauber over a silicone sheet or piece of waxed paper!

  4. Fun card especially using leftovers. Did you make your background paper?

    • Thanks, Chris – Yes, I have a heart stencil that I used to sponge over and create the background.

      • Cool, I really like it. I would never have thought to use a stencil. I have a few I never use. May be I need to unearth them and try it. I have one with coffee beans which might look fun!
