Up & Away for #FF0028

I have accumulated quite a collection of Glimmer (aka glitter) Papers over the past years, but other than at Christmas time, I rarely use them. Then the Festive Friday Design Team came out with a challenge using Glimmer Paper this week… Game On!

I have no idea what prompted me to pull out this Up & Away Thinlits Die Set, but I absolutely love the way this hot air balloon looks with the Glimmer Paper! Here is the FF Challenge Banner that got me started ~

The foil paper that I put behind the balloon is the SAB item, Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet. This paper looks pretty, but plain, when you hold it in your hand…until the light catches it, then WOW! It’s a rainbow of iridescence! I hope you were able to get some before it sold out. It’s pretty spectacular!

The clouds are made from Sparkle Glimmer Paper, cut with the Up & Away Thinlits Dies.

On the inside, I stamped two small hot air balloons with Tranquil Tide and Grapefruit Grove ink pads from the coordinating stamp set called Lift Me Up. I masked the Tranquil Tide balloon after stamping it to give the illusion of the Grapefruit Grove balloon floating behind it.

The sentiment on the front is from Humming Along and cut with matching framelits, Hummingbird FL Dies.

I hope my card LIFTED your spirits! Wouldn’t it be amazing to view the world from above in one of these? Bucket list! My husband would rather watch them from below with his feet planted firmly on the ground! Which “camp” are you in?

    • Thanks, Veronica! The balloons are fun to watch from the ground, too. But I want to see the view looking down one day! 🙂
