I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but when I created this cute little valentine, I couldn’t wait to share it with you! Here is my mini valentine using Heart Happiness with Fruit Basket and Tutti-frutti DSP:
When I saw the sentiment in Fruit Basket, I thought it would be a perfect Valentine’s Day message! After all, valentines are for our sweeties, right? And a few of the pieces of Tutti-frutti 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper lend themselves nicely to the Valentine’s Day theme, like this black & white stripe and Real Red design.
I made this a mini 3″ x 3″ card by starting with a 6″ x 3″ piece of Basic Black cardstock, scored and folded at 3″. I glued the striped piece of DSP to the black base, and added a 2″ wide piece of Real Red.
Next I stamped the heart from Heart Happiness in Powder Pink to Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Fruit Basket in black onto the heart and cut out the heart. I added a tiny bow of white Baker’s Twine and added one silver Metallic Enamel Heart.
On the inside, I got out my ever-faithful stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. This set has been around longer than me, and I hope it never retires. It has every tiny sentiment you would ever need for any occasion!
I added the scattered hearts from Heart Happiness in Powder Pink, then stamped it several times to the back flap of the 3 x 3 Square Envelope.
