Tutti-frutti Cuties

gift enclosure card, mini card, 3" x 3" card idea, Tutti Frutti DSP, Fruit Basket Bundle, stampinup, Karen Hallam, stampin up

It’s Friday and the beginning of the weekend! I hope yours is productive AND relaxing!

Today I have what is the beginning of a set of mini 3″ x 3″ cards to share with you. It’s my Cutie- Patooti Tutti-Frutti card set (say that fast three times!). I love these little mini cards. They are not only fun to make, but go together quickly, and make great gift enclosures or lunch box surprise.
First up, Pineapples! The colors in this Tutti-Frutti DSP are so vibrant and fun. I put Soft Suede cardstock with this one, layered ovals for the sentiment and a wrap of white Baker’s Twine. But even more fun is the inside ~
So tiny and cute! I stamped the bowl with Pool Party, the pineapples with Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, and Lemon Lime Twist. Then I punched the pineapples and bowl out with the matching punches.

How about some Dragonfruit?! Has anyone ever tasted dragonfruit? Can’t say that I have! But it makes a cute card!
For this one, I paired the DSP with Berry Burst cardstock, added Layered Circle Framelits and two little dragonfruit that I stamped, punched, and dotted.
Did you know that you can color your rhinestones with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers? I colored this one with my dark Cherry Cobbler Blend and it matches pretty darned well! You could also use the adhesive-backed sequins that are a part of this Tutti-Frutti suite ~

With a matching envelope, of course!

TIP:  To cover your envelope flap with the DSP and cardstock strip, first run a piece of Tear & Tape at the top of the flap, right at the fold. Adhere a 1/8″ of cardstock onto the adhesive at the top. Add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the rest of the flap and adhere a 1-1/2″ x 3″ piece of DSP, butting right up against the cardstock strip. Then turn it around and trim off the excess with your scissors. The Tear & Tape is essential, to give it a strong bond that won’t come off with handling. (This is especially important on the bigger envelopes that you will be putting through the mail!)

Here is the whole assortment of papers that you get with this pack. You get 4 each of double-sided prints, 48 sheets, for $10 ~
