Turtle-y Cute New Year’s Celebration

Hello! Happy New Year! Create with Stamping Friends is back after a short Christmas break. We have a sketch challenge to start off the new year and I’ve made a Turtle-y Cute New Year’s Celebration card!

Here’s our sketch:

And here’s my card:

I don’t know, but I think we should sign this group up to march in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena!

Here are my directions:
  • Granny Apple Green Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Granny Apple Green Cardstock layer, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″, embossed with the new Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder (available January 6)
  • Turtle-y Cute DSP, 4″x 2-7/8″ for background, corners clipped
  • Turtle-y Cute DSP for turtle musicians and musical notes, fussy cut
  • Sentiment from Simply Said, stamped with Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White Cardstock, 2-3/4″x 1/2″
  • Shades of Green Hexagons, three
Inside:

  • Basic White, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″
  • Alphabet a la Mode Dies numbers, cropped from Turtle-y Cute DSP
  • Trumpeter from Turtle-y Cute, fussy cut

The inside is what makes this a New Year card. The front is simply a celebration card – for any occasion that you want! I really love to make flexible cards that I can customize for the occasion I need.
