Truly Deeply Grateful

It’s time for another Thursday Create With Stamping Friends challenge! We are starting the month out with a sketch challenge. I used a variety of products, but I love the sentiment: Truly Deeply Grateful!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

This card made a number of revisions. Do you ever have more scraps on the table than you have on your card? This one was like that.

I’m really liking the Petal Pink/Rust tones together this Autumn. Have you noticed? 😆 Today was no different – Petal Pink and Cajun Craze…

Here’s the recipe:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 10″x 5″, folded at 5″
    • I added some texture to the front of the card with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Iconic Celebrations 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper, 3-1/2″x 3-1/2″
    • Before adhering with Dimensionals, wrap a length of Natural Tones Linen Thread around the DSP and tie a bow on the left side.
  • Petal Pink Cardstock, 4-1/4″x 1-1/4″
    • More texture – Basics 3D Embossing Folder
  • Subtles 6″x 6″ DSP in Petal Pink, cropped with the 2-1/2″ Deckled Circles Die
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock for leaves from Autumn Leaves Dies
  • Sentiment from Hope You Know, Cajun Craze ink, on Basic White, 3″x 3/8″ strip
  • 1 gem from Earth Tone Shimmer Gems

Inside:
  • 4-7/8″ square of Petal Pink Cardstock
  • 4-3/4″ square of Basic White
  • Stamp leaves with Cajun Craze

This is an oversized card – 5″x 5″, so it will need a 7×5 envelope or a custom one. If you use a 7×5 envelope, you won’t need extra postage. If you leave it square, you will need extra postage.

Want to see my first take?

Hmmm, I decided it was too much pink – looks more salmon to me. What do you think? Which do you like better? Let’s go over to Create With Stamping Friends to see what everyone else made.

I hope you’ve been inspired!

Until next time,
