Trio of Gleaming Thank You Cards

After all the Christmas gifts are opened and everyone is sighing a breath of relief that the rush is over…it’s time for thank you cards! I made a trio of thank you cards using the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper and the Gleaming Ornaments Punches. Take a look ~

brightly gleaming dsp, gleaming ornaments punch, a big thank you, very vanilla notecard & envelope, thank you card idea, holiday thank you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam, stampinup

This first one is on a Very Vanilla Note Card & Envelope. I used the small ornament punch to create a hole so the Night of Navy layer behind it shows through. To the Navy layer, I heat embossed a small Thank You from A Big Thank You Stamp Set with copper embossing powder. Then I added a bow with some Old Olive twine mixed with Copper Thread.

My second card is similar to the first. I used a Very Vanilla Note Card & Envelope. I wanted a Copper Foil layer behind the Brightly Gleaming DSP, but I didn’t want to waste all that foil that would be covered up. So I cropped a Stitched Rectangle out of the middle and saved it for the next card. I heat embossed the sentiment from Love What You Do onto the vanilla note card instead. I wish we had ribbon with Copper edging (hint to Stampin’ Up!) but the gold/vanilla ribbon was close enough to make me happy for now!

And here is that Stitched Rectangle piece that I cut out from the last card. I took a departure on this card by making it a full-sized card with Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. And I certainly could have punched this ornament out of the Copper Foil and used that on another card (hindsight is wonderful!) but instead I lined the punched ornament up carefully to match the pattern on the Brightly Gleaming layer behind the Copper Foil.

Create a Gift of Note Cards

IF you are like me and love to make sets of cards and gift them to people, you might want a third Note Card & Envelope to create a pretty gift set for someone. I have made a third card to go with the first two that I showed today. But you’ll have to stop in on Wednesday to see it! We Pals will be “hopping” on Wednesday, so make a point to come hop along from blog to blog and see lots of inspiration using Designer Series Paper. And my gift set!

Make it a great day! “Every single day do something that makes your heart sing.” See you at the Hop!
