Trio of Blooms

I am so excited and honored to be Mary Fish’s Guest Stamper today!  If you are coming from her blog, I want to thank you for checking mine out!
Today I have a rather classic color combination for summer – navy and yellow – specifically Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.  The base is a vertical 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ in navy.  The yellow stripe is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  I love the new prints on these stacks and know I’ll be using them a lot!

Garden in Bloom is by far my favorite floral in the new 2015-16 catalog.  I love the variegated watercolor look with the crisp outline stamps.  These are two-step stamps and so easy to place just right because they are see-through photopolymer.  I placed them hanging off the sides of these 2″ x 2″ squares and gave each a little border of navy, popping the top two up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

“Hello Sweet Friend” is from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.  A bow made with Night of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon and a navy Candy Dot add just a punch of color.  I also added a strip of the yellow stripe to the inside edge and on the outer flap of the envelope.

This card would be great for any number of occasions – birthday, thanks, hello – What occasion would you use it for?
