Tribute to In Colors : Lost Lagoon

We are on the tail end of the 2014-2016 In Color era ~ I hate to see them go! These were some of my all-time favorite colors. Maybe (I’m hoping!) we will see them incorporated into the color collections at some point. But for now, I’m going to enjoy the last two months with them, then on to the new In Colors for the next two years.

This week, I’m going to feature each of these great colors in an original card. I’ve started with Lost Lagoon. I started to say that it’s my fave, but then I thought about Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow… well, I do love Lost Lagoon. Its watery, smoky blue is so calming.

I used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder on Whisper White for the background layer, and a 3″ X 3 1/2″ rectangle of Lost Lagoon DSP Stack on top.

The flower is two punches of the Flower Medallion Punch with the center from one of the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. The two layers of flower are attached with a Dimensional.

“Congrats” is an Expressions Natural Element, glued on top of a piece of Lost Lagoon Satin Stitched Ribbon (currently on the Clearance Rack for a great discount).

This card is perfect for many occasions when a congratulations is in order. Whatever you stamp on the inside will define its purpose. I do love a versatile card!
