Tribute to In Colors: Blackberry Bliss

Last week I began a 5 day series that I’m calling Tribute to In Colors.  These five gorgeous colors are going away soon, and this is a look at all five plus a reminder to get your supplies stocked before they either go away (early June) or are sold out (could be anytime!).

I made cards that highlighted Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist.  You can see those cards by scrolling down on the side bar and clicking on the titles.  Today I am highlighting Blackberry Bliss.  It is really my favorite (lol, I know I’ve said that already!) but this rich, deep purple is so yummy.  What will we do without it?!!!

My card today is super simple, intending to just make the color stand out, and I think the white butterfly really shows a nice contrast to the dark purple. I used the largest of the Butterflies Thinlits and shimmered it up with Wink of Stella.  I’m going to save you some frustration and tell you to Wink this butterfly up before you attached it to your card.  Don’t ask me how I know!  Just trust me on that one!  It is attached with Dimensionals that are also holding the Silver Cord antenae in place.

I took the design for this card from this week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge.  Here is the banner that got me started:

You can see lots of wonderful cards that have been made using this banner by clicking onto www.palspaperarts.com.

On the inside, I simply stamped some butterflies across the bottom, using Papillon Potpourri and Blackberry Bliss ink, stamped off once before stamping on the card.
Now you have seen all five colors in my “Tribute.”  Which is your favorite?  I would love to read your comments!
All things Blackberry Bliss will be listed at the bottom of this post.  You can shop for them simply by clicking on the pictures, which will link you directly to my online Stampin’ Up! store.
See you next time!  Happy Stamping!
