Translucent Florals (CCMC780)

For Create With Connie and Mary this week we have another color challenge! We are to create anything using the three colors, Orchid Oasis, Highland Heather, and Berry Burst. Oh, so pretty! I chose our upcoming Translucent Florals for my card. These colors said “flowers!” to me. They are the very colors of my hydrangeas! And I love the two-tone look these stamps provide.

Here’s my card:

translucent florals, glorious gingham, nested essentials dies, scalloped contours dies, birthday card idea, ccmc780, stampin up, karen hallam

…and here are the details:
  • Translucent Florals will be available for everyone on September 6. Demonstrators can pre-order it now!
  • Base: Berry Burst Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Glorious Gingham in Berry Burst, 4-1/4″x 2″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 4-1/2″x 3-1/4″, cropped with Scalloped Contours Dies
  • Label: Berry Burst cropped with Nested Essentials Dies, 3-1/2″x 1-1/4″ and Basic White hand cut to the same shape, 2-1/4″x 1″, stamped with Orchid Oasis
  • Translucent Florals stamped with Orchid Oasis, Highland Heather, and Berry Burst ink onto Basic White and fussy cut
  • Embellishments: White Baker’s Twine, Iridescent Rhinestones

I would have loved to use the leaves in this stamp set, but the colors didn’t lend themselves to foliage! I’ll use them on the next project 😉.
