Time of Giving

Here’s another sneak peek at a bundle coming up on August 3 that is perfect for autumn cards. It’s called Time of Giving and has sentiments and images that will carry you from September through December and all the fall holidays.

I immediately fell in love with the little leaf die in the bundle. It cuts out five different leaves at the same time. I used the die with six different Regals colors plus Cinnamon Cider and arranged them on Very Vanilla Cardstock to create this autumn card.

Here’s your peek at the Time of Giving Bundle ~

Before arranging the leaves on the card front, I ran my vanilla layer through the embossing machine with a new Embossing Folder called Timber 3D. It too will be available August 3.

Handy Habit Tip:

I started off with a larger piece than I needed, 5-1/4″x 4. Then I arranged the leaves around the layer. Once I got them the way I wanted them, I didn’t want to move them to glue them down. I knew I’d never get them back the same way! So I took a piece of Glad Press & Seal and gently placed it over the top, pressed it down into the leaves and carefully pulled it up and off the card front. While all the leaves were stuck to the Press & Seal, I added drops of glue to each, then turned it over and placed it back onto the vanilla layer. Voila! The arrangement stayed just as I had originally planned it.

Once the leaves were on and the glue was dry, I trimmed it down to 5″x 3-3/4.” I then wrapped a double strand of Linen Thread around the Vanilla layer and through the stamped label (Meadow Dies). All I needed to do at that point was glue it to a Crumb Cake base.

I actually bought the bundle for the seasonal tag dies (which I’ll share later) but this leaf die won my heart right away!
