Throwback Thursday

Every once in awhile, I think it’s fun to go back to some old products, pull them out and dust them off. When I saw that the banner for the Festive Friday Challenge included stars, I dug deep and found lots of long forgotten stuff! So I hope FF doesn’t mind my using retired goodies! Here is my card ~

Festive Friday Challenge #27

And here is the Card Sketch that helped me put my plan into action ~

First, I wanted stars in one of my Designer Series Papers, and I found it in It’s My Party. Remember that huge 12 x 12 pack of paper? I still have a lot left! The Melon Mambo stars and stripes are so fun!

Next, I looked through my embossing folders and found Lucky Stars. That works! Especially with some Wink of Stella on each star 🙂  An Itty Bitty Star Punch gave me some pink stars to glue over a few of the white ones.

The stamp set that I actually have in my “to sell” pile is Be The Star. I took the sentiment from it as well as the little grouping of stars. To those I added some Stardust Embossing Powder on Versamark Ink and heat embossed them.

On the inside I used a row of stars from the retired Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies. I think I might use this card for my daughter who is about to graduate with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I think she is brilliant and has worked so hard. She is a STAR in my book!

Thanks for going back in time with me these past few minutes! I guess you could say I “shopped my stash!” as my friend Susan Itell likes to say.

Stamping Habit Kits

I still have some kits left for sale, if you want a fun, ready-to-go kit mailed to you! They are $18 apiece which includes the shipping. My product focus was on the Butterfly Gala Suite this month. It is not necessary to own the stamp set as you can use whatever sentiment stamps you already have. I will pre-punch the butterflies for you and the kit includes all of the cut and scored paper, ribbon, and embellishments that you need for three cards and one 3-D item. Just email me at karenshallam@gmail.com and let me know that you want a Habit Kit. I will send you a PayPal invoice, then ship it out to you within two days.

Have a great weekend! Let me know if you enjoyed my Throwback Thursday ~
