Thoughtful Wishes on Regal Winter

thoughtful wishes bundle, regal winter designer series paper, thinking of you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

I’m back in the crafting business! Yay! It feels like I’ve been moving forever, but my craft room is (sort of) put together and I have been enjoying some card making this afternoon. While things were in transit, this beautiful new pack of Designer Series Paper arrived and I have been itching to break into it. It’s Regal Winter, and in my opinion, it is gorgeous! I put Thoughtful Wishes on Regal Winter to make this pretty card.

Simple Details:
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White layer, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Regal Winter DSP (red floral), 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
  • Regal Winter DSP (green plaid), 3″x 3″ then cut on the diagonal to make 2 equal pieces
  • Vellum for the Thoughtful Wishes Die branch, 3-1/2″x 1-1/2″
  • Basic White for sentiment, 2-1/2″x 3/8″
    • Sentiment from Thoughtful Wishes, stamped with Tranquil Tide and attached with Mini Dimensionals
Inside:

I had the extra triangle from the front, but it seemed too big to put in the corner, so I cut it down to 2-1/8″x 2-1/8″, then had a strip leftover. I decided to use the strip rather than throw it in the trash. It’s different. Kinda artsy. I guess. You can let me know what you think. It’s definitely optional, but sometimes ya gotta try something new!

The Envelope:

I took two strips – the floral at 3/8″x 5-1/2″ and the green plaid at 1/4″x 5-1/2″. Trim the bits off the ends of the flap and you have a coordinating, dressed up envelope for your card.  Pretty!
