I really didn’t think I could get behind this “Christmas in July” thing until I got the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and saw the pine tree. Hooked! Now I’ve made my first Christmas card and I’m so happy with it!
The DSP that I used as a background is from This Christmas. It is different than the other Designer Series papers in that it is thinner/lighter weight. But because of that you get twice as many sheets! Love that!
I stamped the pine tree in Soft Suede and Garden Green. Then I took the other triple pine tree stamp from the set and stamped it off twice before putting it on my Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I cropped it out with my new Layering Ovals Framelits and layered it on a Cherry Cobbler scalloped piece.
I don’t know if you can tell in the photo, but there is a very faint sparkle in our new Burlap Ribbon. With that in mind I twisted some Gold Thread behind the tree piece and secured everything with Dimensionals. I added a tiny bit of sparkle in the tree as well with Mercury Glass Stickles (not Stampin’ Up!)
Layers:
- Garden Green base
- Very Vanilla
- This Christmas, green print
- This Christmas, red print
I hope you’ve enjoyed my week of Thoughtful Branches cards. There are so many things you can do with this set ~ I’ve barely scratched the surface. It will be for sale on August 2 – next Tuesday. You can buy the stamp set and thinlits separately or save 10% by purchasing the bundle. I will have all three options on my Product Line below.
Have a great weekend and have fun stamping!
