This is a quick little note card that I whipped up for my card class next week. It’s very simple but with a technique we haven’t done before — the kissing technique! This is so fun and I love the stippled effect it has on the stamped image.
Using the single stamp, Watercolor Thank you, I inked it up with Pool Party. Then I inked up the flower-shaped pattern stamp from I Think You’re Great using Lost Lagoon. I put the 2 stamps together, “kissing” them to transfer the darker patterned ink onto the Thank You stamp. It made this cool watery look that I just love! Word of caution — clean off your stamp before doing it a second time, or you’ll get dark ink on your lighter ink pad – not a good thing!
I cut the sentiment out with the #2 Deco Labels Framelits and sponged around the edges with Lost Lagoon. I layered Lost Lagoon onto a white Note Card, and a piece of Pool Party DSP stack on that. The flowers are from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I centered each with a white circle from the Cupcake Builder Punch (I think a 1/4″ hole punch would do the same) and gave them a little sparkle with Dazzling Details.
Easy, fast, and fun! Give it a try!
