Textured Florals (for CSF834)

We start September with a Color Challenge at Create With Stamping Friends! Today’s color combination was truly a challenge for me.  My first go-to is DSP but there is nothing with these three colors in it. I started looking through the catalog (great way to get inspiration, by the way!) and I found a card on page 40 that gave me my idea. I used the Textured Florals Stamp Set and these three colors:

It was fun to create a card with mainly ink on cardstock! These photos don’t show the true color. It’s brighter in person, but this was about the closest to “true” that I could get.

Here’s my card:

And here are the details:
  • Cut a base card from Moody Mauve at 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″. Fold at 4-1/4.”
  • Cut a Pebbled Path layer at 4-3/4″x 3-1/2.”
  • Now cut a piece of Basic White on which you’ll stamp at 4-5/8″x 3-3/8″. Tip: If you want to start larger and crop it down to those measurements after you stamp, it’s a good way to get your images right as you want them!
  • Last cut a sentiment strip from Basic White at 3-3/4″x 3/4.”
Stamping Details:
  • Using Textured Florals Stamp Set, stamp the medium flower with Moody Mauve twice as shown.
  • Next take the stem stamp and ink it up with Pebbled Path. Stamp twice as shown.
  • Go back to Moody Mauve to fill in the blossoms on the stems, but this time stamp off first to get a lighter shade.
  • Now with Soft Sea Foam, stamp the leaves and small splatter to fill in the gaps.
  • You should end up with a pattern that goes from lower left to upper right in a diagonal direction.
  • Last, stamp the sentiment on the strip with Moody Mauve and attach it with Dimensionals.
Final Detail:
  • Add 5 Moody Mauve 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots.

Textured Florals also comes with Dies. HERE is a card I made with both stamps and dies.

Now let’s head over to Create With Stamping Friends to see what the others have made with this color combination.

Did you look on page 40 to see which card I took my inspiration from? Let me know if you can tell! 😉
