Take To The Sky (for CSF 857)

We have a sketch challenge at Create With Stamping Friends this week! I’ve chosen Take To The Sky (FOR CSF 857) for my card. It’s been a long while since I’ve pulled this pack of paper out. I decided it was time to give it a little attention before it retires 😉.

Here’s our sketch:

Here’s my card:

translucent florals stamp set, take to the sky dsp, deckled rectangle and circle dies, basic 3d embossing folder, csf857, birthday card idea, masculine card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Not only has it been a while since I’ve used this paper, it’s been quite a while since I’ve made a card with a masculine “edge” to it! So here’s what I decided to use:

  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, textured with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Misty Moonlight, cropped with Deckled Rectangle Dies, about 4″x 2-1/2″
  • Take To The Sky DSP, clouds, about 3-1/2″x 2-1/4″
  • TTTS DSP, gray check, 5″x 1-3/4″, angled and cut to fit the white layer
  • Misty Moonlight, cropped with Deckled Circles Dies, 2-7/8″
  • TTTS DSP, planes, cropped with Stylish Shapes Dies, 2-1/2″
  • Basic White Cardstock, cropped with Deckled Circle Dies, about 1-1/2″
    • Stamp birthday greeting from Translucent Florals Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight.
    • Adhere with Dimensionals.
  • Adhesive-Backed Texture Dots, 3, for embellishment

  1. Love this. Great use of the paper. I need to learn to play with sketch options.
