“Take 3”: Silver Bough

Don’t these colors just say “peaceful” to you?  I love this combination of Wisteria Wonder, Smoky Slate, and Silver Foil.  This bough is from the new stamp set called Peaceful Wreath, available on Sept. 1.  I’m doing a little series of cards featuring this stamp set.  Scroll down to see my first two cards, or click HERE  and HERE.  All three have been very different.  Which is your favorite?
For this card I heat-embossed the image of the bough in silver, then colored in the leaves with Smoky Slate and the berries with Wisteria Wonder using the Stampin’ Write Markers.  I “fussy” cut out the bough and added Dimensionals to the back.  I looped some Silver Metallic Thread around the back, attaching it to one of the Dimensionals and tacked a silver ribbon bow to the front with a Glue Dot.
The sentiment (also from Peaceful Wreath) comes in 3 pieces, so I placed them on my acrylic block and stamped them with our new Archival Basic Gray.  This was the first time I’ve used this new ink, and I was instantly a fan!  The image is crisp and clear – love it.  It will also be available Sept. 1st, as will Archival Basic Black.  Both are water proof, so good for using with water based markers.  Add them to your list – you will be happy with them!

My supplies that are currently available will be listed at the bottom.  I will come back after Sept. 1st to add in the items that will come available then.  Meanwhile, do you have your wish list going?  This catalog is full of beautiful items.  I can tell you, my list is very long!  Be sure to add Peaceful Wreath and Archival Basic Gray and Basic Black to yours!

Check back soon for some more ideas for using this gorgeous stamp set.  Until then ~

Happy Stamping!
